Monster (Revisited)

lyrics

Mirror, mirror
It’s been a while since we spoke
So passionately
And we both saw how we looked

Show your face to me
Show your beauty
(You’ve always known how to make me smile)
Don’t dream such lone dreams
Don’t shine your cruelty
(You’ve always known how to make me smile)
Is this me you have chosen to be your
Your perfect enemy?

Is this the cure?
Will it save me from myself?
Is this the cure?
Will I be somebody new?

Heaven feels close today
Been electrocuted
Hold my shaky brain

This will hurt a while
It’s gunna take some time
You don’t have to die

It’s crawling up your spine
It’s a firesnake
What is this light?
Mirror, mirror
What is this light?

Burn your solo tree
It’s meant to be
No part of me
Burn this hollow tree
It’s meant to go
What is this light?

Mirror, mirror
Will you speak to me again?
So passionately
Hold a razor to my vein

Is this the cure?
Will it save me from myself?
Is this the cure?
Will I be somebody new?

Heaven feels close today
been electrocuted
Hold my shaky brain

This will hurt a while
It’s gunna take some time
You don’t have to die

It’s crawling up your spine
It’s a firesnake
What is this light?
Mirror, mirror
What is this light?

Burn your solo tree
It’s meant to be
No part of me
Burn this hollow tree
It’s meant to go
What is this light?
Burn your solo tree
It’s meant to be
No part of me
Burn this hollow tree
It’s meant to go
What is this light?

Mirror, mirror oh

Burn your solo tree
It’s meant to be
No part of me
Burn this hollow tree
It’s meant to go
What is this light?
Burn your solo tree
It’s meant to be
No part of me
Burn this hollow tree
It’s meant to go
What is this light?

about

The Anthropophobia Project Vancouver, Washington

I use music as my diary. I’m not terribly good with words, so I use melody to express myself. I use sound as a therapeutic outlet for emotions and feelings. Even though there are few lyrics, I wear my feelings on my sleeve. It’s the only place I’m able to open up completely. I was apprehensive releasing such personal songs, but the act of letting go is part of the therapeutic process. ... more
