Trapped (feat. Monster Palace)

from The Undertow by The Anthropophobia Project

lyrics

Maybe now I can sleep
Maybe now I can dream
Wandering and distancing
I can feel my heart fade away
Maybe now I can find some peace
Maybe now I can be me

You’re trapped under this hateful sun
You’re face down in the filthy mud
You get reckless when you love yourself
Without my words digging in your brain
Your wings would melt

I told you, you’re a coward
I told you, you’re a snake
I told you, you’re a liar
I told you, you’re a mistake

I don’t believe you
I don’t need you

You are not the king of me
I am the master of my fate
I am the captain of my soul
You cannot control me
You cannot break me
Happiness is my goal
You are not the king of me
I will not bend, I will not break
You cannot hurt me no matter how hard you try
‘Cause I am me
And that’s alright
